Novels in Nature

An Unprecedented Approach to Combat Illiteracy in the United States

Nature

Literacy

In a world increasingly dominated by screens and technology, the simple joy of reading is fading from our everyday lives. Novels in Nature is changing that. By bringing books into the outdoors, we reconnect people with reading in a way that feels natural, spontaneous, and deeply human.

Through a close partnership with Little Free Library, Novels in Nature transforms public lands into platforms for literacy advocacy. Our growing network of Little Free Libraries can now be found in 11 state parks across seven states: New York, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Idaho, Maryland, Arkansas, and Tennessee.

Novels in Nature is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
